Meet Our Team
Executive Director
As young teenagers, Allison and I were privileged to serve under a pastor who believed passionately in equipping and raising up the next generation of leaders for the Church. We benefitted greatly from the opportunities we were given as young people to serve and lead in our Church. That was the period of my life where God lit the flame of love and passion for the Church and for pastoral ministry. Now, a half a century later, the flame burns even brighter. Through the last 5 decades of ministry, I have learned another crucial truth: the health of the Church is directly affected by the health of the leadership. The Church is growing rapidly around the world, especially in the very difficult places of persecution, wars and natural disasters. There is a desperate need for raising up leaders of integrity and courage.
Today there are thousands of Pastors around the world….the vast majority of them are younger and have little of no training at all. I began my journey of equipping and empowering leaders around the world in 1990 with my first trip to Russia. During that trip, Christ burdened my heart for the undertrained and under-resourced pastors around the world. For almost 35 years, my journey with pastoral training and encouragement has taken me to many places around the globe, focusing on those places “where the needs are the greatest and the resources are the least”. In 2006 we created Redemptive Leadership International as a vehicle for accomplishing this ministry in a much for effective and permanent way. Today we continue to have so many opportunities in some of the darkest places on our world…..opportunities to help raise up “Redemptive Leaders” who serve out of the strength of their Christlike character, and who are followed because the presence, power and purposes of Christ are profoundly evident in them and in their leadership. We joyfully and passionately invite you to join us on journey.

After serving on staff at our church for over 30 years, it was my desire to pass the baton of pastoral ministry to our gifted younger pastors and to focus my efforts on two groups that had become increasingly dear to me over the years.
​​
First was to continue my work in Budapest Hungary by supporting and encouraging pastors and church leaders there. Going there since 1998 and serving alongside churches there, had built an amazing array of friendships and connections that I wanted to build on and share with others. The second group is pastors here in the Gainesville and north central Florida area that I had gotten to know over the years.

Redemptive Leadership’s passion for seeing pastors understand and grow in their walks with Christ by seeing them lead with humility and character resonates deeply with me. There are so many voices out there that are calling pastors to proficiencies in areas that are not the main priority. Growing in Christ-like character, modeling servant leadership, leading with strength and conviction, humility, kindness and transparency are vital messages for them to hear.

As a new member of RLI, I am excited about what the future will bring and the seeds we are planting that will, by God’s grace, bear fruit for many years to come.
